Hi there! I’m Max, a fourth-year graphic design student at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Born and raised in Silicon Valley, I now live and work in Rochester, New York.

Creativity has always been a part of who I am.

At just two years old, I picked up my parents’ camera and began snapping photos as I toddled around. Over the years, I’ve explored photography, video production, audio engineering, and more. My passion for design began in middle school when I created promotional materials for the theater department.

In high school, I immersed myself in design. I worked an internship at a local agency, volunteered my skills to local non-profits, and served as the Design Editor for the yearbook, where I learned how to collaborate with a large creative team.

Choosing to study design in college felt like a natural progression. It encapsulated all the creative pursuits I loved. At RIT, I’ve delved deep into typography, branding, interaction design, motion graphics, and design history. Each class has further fueled my passion and expanded my skill set.

From February 2022 to August 2024, I worked at RIT MAGIC Spell Studios. I started as one of the original graphic designers and grew to lead several creative teams. I was involved in launching a prominent LED screen on campus and developing a virtual museum app for Ontario County’s tourism promotion agency. These experiences strengthened my leadership, project management, and communication skills.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue exploring new design challenges and opportunities. My goal is to leverage human-centered design principles to drive positive change and create products that make a meaningful contribution to society.
